I am an artist exploring environmentally and culturally sensitive materials, processes and conversations, often growing, foraging and recycling materials.

My sustainability studies have redefined how I make and thinks about art making, bringing art out of grandeur into a more tender, elusive, thoughtful, idealistic space. I play with materials that have a first life story, subtle but present, and more ephemeral materials with shorter histories but often more complex.

I look at the discarded as precious, refocusing the Canadian landscape of textures and details, realigning us to the connectedness of the natural world. These works re-examine permanence and longevity, emancipating the future by using biodegradable materials.
